[Machine] Bilal used to call for prayer (adhan) when sunrise came, but he wouldn't establish (i.e., start) the prayer until he saw the Prophet ﷺ . When he (Bilal) saw him (the Prophet), he would establish the prayer.  

أحمد:٢٠٨٥٢حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا دَحَضَتْ ثُمَّ لَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَرَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَإِذَا رَآهُ أَقَامَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ

Bilal summoned to prayer as the sun declined but did not pronounce Iqama till the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out and the Iqama was pronounced on seeing him.

كَانَ بِلاَلٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا دَحَضَتْ فَلاَ يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ أَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ

[Machine] Bilal used to call for prayer (adhan) when the sun set, he would not delay it, and he would not establish the prayer until the Prophet ﷺ came out. Then, when the Prophet ﷺ came out, Bilal would establish the prayer as soon as he saw him.

[Machine] Bilal used to perform the call to prayer when the sun set, but he would not establish the prayer until he saw the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . Then, when he saw him, he would proceed to establish the prayer.

كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا دَحَضَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ لَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى يَرَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَإِذَا رَآهُ أَقَامَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ  

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ
