[Machine] Abu Musa sought permission from Umar three times and was not granted permission, so he returned and met Umar who asked why he had come back. Abu Musa replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever seeks permission three times and is not granted permission, let him return.' Umar said, 'You will come to them with evidence, or I will surely take action.' Abu Musa then went to his people's gathering and he called upon Allah the Almighty, so I said, 'I am with you,' and they testified in his favor, so Umar left him."

"Why did you go back?" He said: "I asked permission to enter three times, as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined upon us, then if we are given permission we should enter, otherwise we should go back." He said: "You should bring me proof of that, or else!" Then he came to a gathering of his people and asked them to swear by Allah concerning that, and they did so, so he let him go."
