“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Mi’rad. He said: ‘Do not eat unless you pierce (the game).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3215)
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْزِقَ
“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Mi’rad. He said: ‘Do not eat unless you pierce (the game).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3215)
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْزِقَ
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of 'Adi b. Hatim with a slight variation of words.
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ
"I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the game caught by a falcon. So he said: 'What it catches for you, then eat it.'"
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْبَازِي فَقَالَ مَا أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْكَ فَكُلْ
I asked the Prophet ﷺ about game killed by Mir'ad. So he said: 'What you kill by its sharp edge then eat it, and what you kill by its broad side then, it was killed by something blunt.'"
سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ مَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَمَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَهُوَ وَقِيذٌ
" I heard 'Adiyy bin Hatim say: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah about the Mirad and he said: "If the sharp point hits 9the game) then eat, bu8t if the broad edge of it hits it, and it is killed, then it has been killed by a blow, so do not eat."
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ إِذَا أَصَابَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَقُتِلَ فَإِنَّهُ وَقِيذٌ فَلاَ تَأْكُلْ
"I asked the Messenger of Allah about hunting with the Mirad and the said: 'If the sharp edge hits (the game), then eat, but if the broad edge of it strikes it, do not eat it."'
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ إِذَا أَصَابَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلاَ تَأْكُلْ
"I asked the Messenger of Allah about hunting with Mirad and he said: 'If the sharp edge hits (the game), then eat, but if the broad edge of it strikes it, then it has been killed by a blow."'

“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with Mi’rad. He said: ‘Whatever it struck with its sharp edge, then eat it, but what is struck with its side is something that has been killed by a violent blow.’”
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّيْدِ بِالْمِعْرَاضِ قَالَ مَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَمَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَهُوَ وَقِيذٌ
“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Mi’rad. He said: ‘Do not eat unless you pierce (the game).’”
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ لاَ تَأْكُلْ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَخْزِقَ
[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with throwing arrows, so he mentioned something similar to it.
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the all-black dog and he said: ‘(It is) a devil.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3210)
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْكَلْبِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْبَهِيمِ فَقَالَ شَيْطَانٌ
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with arrows. He said, "If you hit it with its cutting edge, then eat it. But if you hit it with its broadside, then do not eat it because it is carrion."
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ؟ فَقَالَ «إِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ فَإِنَّهُ وَقِيذٌ»
[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with a trained dog. He said, "Do not eat from it unless you have mentioned the name of Allah (in its presence)."
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ؟ فَقَالَ «لَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتَ»
I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Al Mirad (i.e. a sharp-edged piece of wood or a piece of wood provided with a piece of iron used for hunting). He replied, "If the game is hit by its sharp edge, eat it, and if it is hit by its broad side, do not eat it, for it has been beaten to death." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I release my dog by the name of Allah and find with it at the game, another dog on which I have not mentioned the name of Allah, and I do not know which one of them caught the game." Messenger of Allah ﷺ said (to him), 'Don't eat it as you have mentioned the name of Allah on your dog and not on the other dog." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2054)
سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ؟ فَقَالَ «إِذَا أَصَابَ بِحَدِّهِ فَخَزَقَ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»
