[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Maghrib prayer with us, and he had a cloak made of silk upon him, and it was Al-Qabā’. When he finished his prayer, he removed it forcefully, saying, "Indeed, this is not suitable for the pious ones."
صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَغْرِبَ وَعَلَيْهِ فَرُّوجُ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ وَهُوَ الْقَبَاءُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ نَزَعَهُ نَزْعًا عَنِيفًا وَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
[Machine] A silk blouse was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he wore it and prayed with it among the people in Maghrib prayer. When he finished his prayer, he removed it violently and threw it away. So we said, "O Messenger of Allah, you wore it and prayed in it." He said, "Indeed, this is not appropriate for the pious."
أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَرُّوجُ حَرِيرٍ فَلَبِسَهُ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ بِالنَّاسِ الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ نَزَعَهُ نَزْعًا عَنِيفًا ثُمَّ أَلْقَاهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ لَبِسْتَهُ وَصَلَّيْتَ فِيهِ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
[Machine] A silk gown was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He wore it and prayed. After finishing, he removed it violently and threw it away. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, you wore it and prayed in it?" He said, "Indeed, this is not appropriate for the pious."
