[Machine] Habib ibn Saad al-Tayy, who was under the effect of magic, entered the mosque and found the Prophet ﷺ witnessing the people praying at the front of the mosque. He said, "Marra'un! By the Lord of the Kaaba, terrify them!" Whoever terrifies them has indeed obeyed Allah and His Messenger. So the people approached them and expelled them. He said, "The angels were praying at the front of the mosque under the influence of magic."  

أحمد:١٦٩٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الرَّحَبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ غَابِرٍ الْأَلْهَانِيَّ قَالَ

دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ حَابِسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ مِنَ السَّحَرِ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَرَأَى النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ مُرَاءُونَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ أَرْعِبُوهُمْ فَمَنْ أَرْعَبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَتَاهُمُ النَّاسُ فَأَخْرَجُوهُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّي مِنَ السَّحَرِ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ

[Machine] Habis ibn Saad Al-Ta'i entered the mosque affected by magic, and the Prophet ﷺ noticed him. He saw the people praying in the front of the mosque and said, "Make way for him, and by the Lord of the Kaaba, frighten them." Whoever frightens them has indeed obeyed Allah and His Messenger." So the people went to him and pushed him out. He said, "Indeed, the angels pray from the front of the mosque affected by magic."

[Machine] Habes ibn Saad Al-Tayi entered the mosque from the courtyard and found the Prophet ﷺ and some people praying in the front of the mosque. The whisperers said, "By the Lord of the Kaaba, frighten them!" So, whoever frightened them would have obeyed Allah and His Messenger. He (the Prophet) said, "Indeed, the angels pray in the front of the mosque from the courtyard."  

الطبراني:٣٥٦٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ الْحَوْطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ غَابِرٍ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ قَالَ

" عَنْ حَابِسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الطَّائِىِّ - وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ مِنَ السَّحَرِ، فَرَأَي النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ فِي صَدْرِ (*) الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ: أرْعِبُوهُمْ، فَمَنْ أَرْعَبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ الله وَرَسُولَهُ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّى مِنَ السَّحَرِ فِى مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ".
