[Machine] A person who witnessed the Prophet (Peace be upon him) informed me that he ordered the stoning of a man between Mecca and Medina. When the man was hit by the stones, he ran away. The information reached the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and he said, "Why didn't you let him go?"  

أحمد:١٦٥٨٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيِّ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَمَرَ بِرَجْمِ رَجُلٍ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ فَرَّ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فَهَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard and ordered the stoning of a man between Makkah and Madinah. When he found the touch of the stones, he left and fled. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why did you not leave him?"
