ahmad:15474 – Hārūn > Ibn Wahb > ʿAmr > Ibn Shihāb > Ibn Abū Khuzāmah Aḥad Banī al-Ḥārith b. Saʿd b. Hudhaym from his father

[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you see a remedy that we can seek healing through, and a treatment that we can practice precaution with? Does this contradict the decree of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, in any way?" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, it is a part of the decree of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."  

أحمد:١٥٤٧٤ – حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ أَحَدَ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ هُذَيْمٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِيهَا وَتُقًى نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ يَرُدُّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهُ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ

أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ رُقًى نَسْتَرْقِيهَا وَدَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَتُقَاةً نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ هِيَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ هَكَذَا قَالَ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

"I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Do you think that the Ruqyah we use, the treatments we use, and what we seek to protect ourselves will contradict anything from Allah's Decree?' He said: 'They are from Allah's Decree.'"

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: ‘Do you think that the medicines with which we treat ourselves, the Ruqyah by which we seek healing, and the means of protection that we seek, change the decree of Allah at all?’ He said: ‘They are part of the decree of Allah.’”  

ابن ماجة:٣٤٣٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خِزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِي خِزَامَةَ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرَأَيْتَ أَدْوِيَةً نَتَدَاوَى بِهَا وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَتُقًى نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا قَالَ هِيَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah" and Sufyan once said, "I asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , if there is a remedy we can use, and if there is a charm we can seek to protect ourselves, and if there is a preventive measure we can take, would it be going against the decree of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted?" He said, "Indeed, it is from the decree of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted."  

أحمد:١٥٤٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَتُقًى نَتَّقِيهَا أَتَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ إِنَّهَا مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى

[Machine] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, do you know of a medication that we can use for treatment, a supplication that we can recite for seeking cure, and a protection we can seek to avoid harm? Will these actions cancel out the predestination of Allah?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'That falls under the predestination of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.'"  

أحمد:١٥٤٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي خِزَامَةَ أَحَدِ بَنِي الْحَارِثِعَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَتُقًى نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ يَرُدُّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى

[Machine] He said to the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah, do you see a medicine that we can use for treatment, and a talisman that we can hang with it? Does that go against Allah's decree in any way?" The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "It is part of Allah's decree." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in his summary.  

الحاكم:٧٤٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ أَبَا خُزَامةَ بْنَ يَعْمَرَ أَحَدَ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا هَلْ يَرُدُّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you think there is a medicine for us to hainhealing, a method to seek fortune, or actions we can do that will contradict the decree of Allah?" He (the Messenger) replied, "O Ka'b, no, it is all part of the decree of Allah."  

ابن حبّان:٦١٠٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو بِالْفُسْطَاطِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَأَشْيَاءَ نَفْعَلُهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «يَا كَعْبُ بَلْ هِيَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ»

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رُقًى كُنَّا نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَأَدْوِيَةٌ كُنَّا نَتَدَاوَى بِهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ «هِيَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ ﷻ»
