ahmad:1422Yaʿqūb from my father > Muḥammad b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAṭāʾ b. Ibrāhīm a freed slave of al-Zubayr > Ummih And Jaddatih Um ʿAṭāʾ Qāltā Wa-al-Lh Lakaʾannanā Nanẓur > al-Zubayr b. al-ʿAwwām Ḥīn Atānā > Baghlah Lah Bayḍāʾ

By Allah, it is as if we can see az-Zubair bin al-ʿAwwam ؓ when he came to us on a white mule of his and said: “O Umm ‘Ata, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden the Muslims to eat from the meat of their sacrifices after three days.” I said: “May my father be sacrificed for you! What should we do with that which has been given to us?” He said: “As for what has been given to you, it is up to you.”

[Machine] "O Umm Ataa, indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the Muslims from consuming their sacrifices for more than three days, so do not consume it. So I said, 'By my father, what should we do with what is gifted to us?' He ﷺ said, 'As for what is gifted to you, then it is your matter to decide.'"
