The Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day led us in the prayer. and when he completed the Prayer he turned his face towards us and said: 0 People, I am your Imam, so do not precede me in bowing and prostration and in standing and turning (faces, i. e. In pronouncing salutation), for I see you in front of me and behind me, and then said: By Him in Whose hand Is the life of Muhammad, if you could see what I see, you would have laughed little and wept much more. They said: What did you see, Messenger of Allah? He replied: (I saw) Paradise and Hell.  

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلاَةَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي إِمَامُكُمْ فَلاَ تَسْبِقُونِي بِالرُّكُوعِ وَلاَ بِالسُّجُودِ وَلاَ بِالْقِيَامِ وَلاَ بِالاِنْصِرَافِ فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ أَمَامِي وَمِنْ خَلْفِي ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلاً وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا قَالُوا وَمَا رَأَيْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ  

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer one day, then he turned to face us and said: 'I am now your imam, so do not hasten to bow or prostrate or stand or leave before I do. I can see you in front of me and behind me.' Then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had seen what I have seen, you would laugh little and weep much.' We said: 'What have you seen, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said: 'Paradise and Hell.'"

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer one day, then he turned to face us and said: 'I am now your imam, so do not hasten to bow or prostrate or stand or leave before I do. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if you saw what I saw, you would weep a lot and laugh a little." They said, "What did you see, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "I saw Paradise and Hell, and I was prevented from going ahead of them when leading them in prayer. And I saw that they were not allowed to leave before I did." He said, "Indeed, I see you from in front of me and from behind me."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا وَلَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا قَالُوا مَا رَأَيْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ إِذَا كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ بِالرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ وَأَنْ يَنْصَرِفُوا قَبْلَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ إِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِي وَمِنْ خَلْفِي

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَقَدِ انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي إِمَامُكُمْ فَلَا تَسْبِقُونِي بِالرُّكُوعِ وَلَا بِالسُّجُودِ وَلَا بِالْقِيَامِ وَلَا بِالْقُعُودِ وَلَا بِالِانْصِرَافِ فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِي وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَايْمُ الَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا رَأَيْتَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if you saw what I saw, you would laugh a little and cry a lot." They asked, "What did you see?" He said, "I saw Paradise and Hell, and I was urged to command them to pray and to prohibit them from rushing ahead of the imam during bowing and prostrating, and to leave before he leaves from the prayer. And I told them that I see you from the front and from behind." I asked Anas about the prayer of a sick person, and he said, "He should bow and prostrate while sitting if he is able to do so."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا قَالُوا مَا رَأَيْتَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ وَحَضَّهُمْ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ إِذَا كَانَ إِمَامَهُمْ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ وَأَنْ يَنْصَرِفُوا قَبْلَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ إِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِي وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَسَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْمَرِيضِ فَقَالَ يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ قَاعِدًا فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ

" عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ : وَالَّذىِ نَفْسُ مُحمَّد بيَدِهِ، لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلَيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا، قَالُوا: مَا رَأَيْتَ يَارَسُولَ الله؟ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ وَحَرَّضَهُمْ عَلَى الصَّلاَة، وَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ إِذَا أَمَّهُم بِالرُّكُوُعِ وَالسُّجُودِ، وَأَنْ يَتَفَرَّقُوا قَبْلَ انْصَرَافِهِ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ، ثُمًّ قَالَ لَهُمْ: إِنِّى أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِى وَمِنْ خَلْفِى ".  

"يَا أيُّهَا النَّاسُ: إِنّى إِمَامُكُم، فَلا تَسْبِقُونِى بالرُّكُوع، وَلا بِالسُّجُودِ، وَلا بِالقِيَام، وَلا بِالقُعُودِ، وَلا بِالانْصِرَافِ، فَإِنِّى أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامى وَمِنْ خَلفِى، وَايْمُ الَّذِى نَفْسِى بِيَدِه لَو رَأيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا، وَلَبَكَيْتُم كثِيرًا؛ قَالُوا: وَمَا رَأيْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ".
