[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, Safwan ibn Muattal breaks my fasts and strikes me when I pray, and he does not pray Fajr until the sun rises." The Prophet ﷺ sent for Safwan and asked him, "What do you say about this?" Safwan replied, "Regarding her statement that I break her fasts, I am a young man and I have prohibited her from fasting." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ on that day forbade a woman from fasting without her husband's permission. Safwan continued, "Regarding her statement that I strike her during prayer, she recites two Surahs in a manner that distracts me." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If people were to hear her recitation, it would not harm you." Safwan further explained, "Regarding her statement that I do not pray until the sun rises, I have a heavy head and I am from a family known for their heavy heads." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If that is the case, then separate from each other."
