مَنْ يُكَنَّى أَبَا صِرْمَةَ أَبُو صِرْمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ

[Machine] He heard Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Sirmah Al-Ansari saying: We captured spoils in the battle of Bani Al-Mustaliq, which is the battle in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took Juwayriyah bint Al-Harith as a captive. Among us were those who wanted to take captives as their wives and among us were those who wanted to seek temporary pleasure. Then we decided to return them in emancipation. We mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "Why don't you keep them? It is up to Allah to decide what happens until the Day of Resurrection."  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ وأَبَا صِرْمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يَقُولُانِ أَصَبْنَا سَبَايَا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ وَهِيَ الْغَزْوَةُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ وَكَانَ مِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ ثُمَّ نَبِيعُ فَتَرَاجَعْنَا فِي الْعَزْلِ وَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَعْزِلُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدَّرَ مَا هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»  

[Machine] He heard Abu Sirmah and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri saying, "We captured some prisoners in the battle of Bani Mustaliq, which was the battle in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ acquired Juhayriah. Amongst us were those who wanted to take them as slaves, and among us were those who wanted to enjoy themselves and sell them. So we consulted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Let them be, for surely Allah has planned what will happen until the Day of Judgment."  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا صِرْمَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولَانِ أَصَبْنَا سَبَايَا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ وَهِيَ الْغَزْوَةُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جُوَيْرِيَةَ فَكَانَ مِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ وَيَبِيعَ فَتَرَاجَعْنَا فِي الْعَزْلِ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَعْزِلُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ قَدَّرَ مَا هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»  

[Machine] He heard Abu Surma and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri saying, "We captured captives in the Battle of al-Mustaliq, which is the battle in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ captured Juwayriyah. So, among us there were those who wanted to take them as slaves, and among us there were those who wanted to enjoy them and sell them. So, we discussed this matter in isolation and mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'There is no harm if you do not isolate them, for Allah has decreed who will be created until the Day of Resurrection.'"  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا صِرْمَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولَانِ أَصَبْنَا سَبَايَا فِي غَزْوَةِ الْمُصْطَلِقِ وَهِيَ الْغَزْوَةُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جُوَيْرِيَةَ فَكَانَ مِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْتِعَ وَيَبِيعَ فَتَرَاجَعْنَا فِي الْعَزْلِ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَعْزِلُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ قَدَّرَ مَنْ هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»  

[Machine] Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Sirmah informed him that they were taken captive in the Ghazwah of Bani Al-Mustaliq. Some of us wanted to ransom ourselves while others wanted to be sold. So, we went back and someone said to another person that it was not permissible. We mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "It is not necessary for you to separate, as Allah has determined what will happen until the Day of Resurrection."  

أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ وَأَبَا صِرْمَةَ أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّهُمْ أَصَابُوا سَبْيًا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ وَكَانَ مِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَبِيعَ فَتَرَاجَعْنَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ لَيْسَ بِجَائِزٍ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَعْزِلُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قَدَّرَ مَا هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
