There was an eclipse of the sun in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had died. The people began to to say that there was an eclipse on account of the death of Ibrahim. The Prophet ﷺ stood up and led the people in prayer performing six bowings and four prostrations. he said: Allah is most great, and then recited from the Qur'an and prolonged the recitation. He then bowed nearly as long as he stood. He then raised his head and recited from the Qur'an but it was less than the first (recitation). He then bowed nearly as long as he stood. He then raised his head and then recited from the Quran for the third time, but it was less than the second recitation. He then bowed nearly as long as he stood. he then raised his head and then recited from the Qur'an for the third time, but it was less than the second recitation. he then bowed nearly as long as he stood. Then he raised his head and went down for prostration. he made two prostrations. He then stood and made three bowings before prostrating himself, the preceding bowing being more lengthy than the following, but he bowed nearly as long as he stood. He then stepped back during the prayer and the rows (of the people) too stepped back along with him. Then he stepped forward and stood in his place, and the rows too stepped forward. he then finished the prayer and the sun had become bright. He said: O people, the sun and the moon are two of Allah's signs; they are not eclipsed on account of a man's death. So when you see anything of that nature, offer prayer until the sun becomes bright. The narrator then narrated the rest of the tradition. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1178)

When he finished the prayer, he stood leaning on Bilal, and he praised and glorified Allah (SWT) and exhorted the people, reminding them and urging them to obey Allah (SWT). Then he moved away and went to the women, and Bilal was with him. He commanded them to fear Allah (SWT) and exhorted them and reminded them. He praised and glorified Allah, then he urged them to obey Allah, then he said: 'Give charity, for most of you are the fuel of Hell.' A lowly woman with dark cheeks said: 'Why, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'You complain a great deal and are ungrateful to your husbands.' They started taking off their necklaces, earrings and rings, throwing them into Bilal's garment, giving them in charity." [Machine] He ﷺ prayed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that the enemy was between him and the Qibla, and we lined up behind him in two rows. He and we all raised our voices with takbeer [saying Allahu Akbar] and he bowed, and we all bowed with him. When he raised his head from the bowing position, he prostrated, and the row that followed him prostrated with him, and the rear row stood facing the enemy. When he stood up, the row that followed him also stood up, and the rear row prostrated. Then the rear row moved forward and the front row moved back, and he bowed and we all bowed with him. Then he prostrated, and the row that followed him prostrated with him. When the row that followed him prostrated and sat down, the rear row prostrated. Then he said the salaam [saying Assalamu alaikum] and we all said the salaam. Jabir said, "Just as your troops obey their commanders."

He told us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed in Medina for nine years without performing Hajj. Then the permission was given to the people that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would perform Hajj this year. He said, "So many people from Medina descended upon the city, all seeking to accompany the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and do the same as he does. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out with a group of ten people on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah, and we accompanied him until we reached Dhul-Hulayfah. Asma bint 'Umais sent a message to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asking, 'What should I do?' He replied, 'Perform Ghusl (ritual bath), then put on your Ihram garments, then perform Istidfar (seeking forgiveness) with a cloth, and then proceed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued until his camel stopped in the open, and he began reciting Talbiyah, 'Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaik la sharika laka Labbaik,

The Prophet ﷺ responded, "It is when leaders come after me who do not follow my guidance and do not adhere to my tradition (sunnah). Those who believe them in their lies and support them in their injustices are not from me, nor am I from them. They will not reach my fountain. However, those who do not believe them in their lies and do not support them in their injustices are from me and I am from them. They will reach my fountain. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, fasting is a protection, charity extinguishes sins, and prayer is evidence. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, no flesh that has grown from unlawful means will enter paradise. The Fire is more deserving of it. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, people are heading towards either buying or freeing themselves, and there are those who sell themselves and destroy themselves."

And they will be made to sit on a sandy plain that will be rattled by their humps and hooves. And there is no owner of cows who does not fulfill their rights except that they will come on the Day of Judgment larger than they ever were. And they will be made to sit on a sandy plain that will be struck by their horns and trampled by their hooves. And there is no owner of sheep who does not fulfill their rights except that they will come on the Day of Judgment larger than they ever were. And they will be made to sit on a sandy plain that will be struck by their horns and trampled by their wool. There will not be a single horn broken or a single bone fractured. And there is no owner of treasure who does not fulfill its rights except that their treasure will come on the Day of Judgment as a bold, roaring lion, followed by a serpent that opens its mouth. When the treasure sees it, it will run away from it, and its Lord will call it, saying, 'Take your treasure which you buried, for I am richer than you.' When the treasure sees that there is no escape, it will put its hand in it and bite it like the bite of a stallion." Abu al-Zubayr said: "I also heard Ubaid ibn Umayr saying this." A man then asked the Prophet ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, what are the rights of camels?" He replied, "Milking them, providing them with water, letting them drink from their trough, letting their male mate with them, and carrying them in the path of Allah." Abdul Razzaq said: "In all of these actions." And Abdul Razzaq also said, "Abu al-Zubayr said, 'I heard Ubaid ibn Umayr saying the same thing.' Then we asked Jabir al-Ansari about it, and he said, 'The statement of Ubaid ibn Umayr is like mine.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed in Makkah for ten years, following the people in their homes in 'Ukaz and Majinah, and during the seasons in Mina. He would say, "Who will shelter and support me? Who will assist me until I deliver the message of my Lord, and he will be rewarded with Paradise?" So much so that a man would come from Yemen or Egypt, and his people would warn him, saying, "Beware of the young boy from Quraysh who will deceive you." But he would walk among them and they would point at him with their fingers. Until Allah sent someone from Yathrib (Medina) and we offered him shelter and believed in him. The man would return to his people, and they would embrace Islam because of him, to the point that there was not a house in Al-Ansar (the supporters) except there were some Muslims living in it. Then, they all came together and said, "Until when shall we leave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being expelled in the mountains of Makkah and living in fear?" Seventy men of us left until we reached him in the season. We made an appointment with the tribes of Al-'Aqabah, and met him there, a group of men and a group of women. We said, "O Messenger of Allah! Why don't we give you our pledge?" He replied, "Give me your pledge based on hearing and obeying, in ease and hardship, in wealth and poverty, and to enjoin good and forbid evil. And that you will say in Allah's cause, fear no blame from anyone, and to help me rather than hinder me when I come to you. If you fulfill this, then it will be better for you before Allah." We said, "O Messenger of Allah! Rain on us your guidance." We swear by Allah, we will never abandon this pledge nor take it away. So we gave him our pledge, and he grasped the hand of As'ad bin Zurarah, who was one of the youngest among us, and said, "O people of Yathrib! We have not aimed against and attacked the backs of camels unless we knew that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . And indeed his leaving today means the tribal fragmentation of the entire Arabs and the killing of your best people. And the swords will bite you, whether you are a people who can endure that or a people who fear from yourselves a decline, clarify it, and it will be more excuse for you before Allah." We said, "Remove from us, O As'ad!" By Allah! We will never abandon this pledge nor seize it away. So we gave him our pledge, and he made a condition and gave us Paradise in return.
