[Machine] We were with Anas ibn Malik when he brought a vessel containing three iron rings and a ring made of iron. He removed a black covering from it, which was less than a quarter and more than half. Anas ibn Malik then ordered for water to be poured into it, and it was brought to us. We drank from it and poured it over our heads and faces, and we prayed upon the Prophet ﷺ .

"There was no rain for a year, so some of the Muslims went to the Prophet ﷺ one Friday and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, there has been no rain; the land has become bare and our wealth has been destroyed.' He raised his hands, and we did not see any cloud in the sky. He stretched forth his hands until I could see the whiteness of his armpits, praying to Allah (SWT) for rain. When we finished praying Jumu'ah, even a young man whose house nearby was worried about how he would get home. That lasted for a week, then on the following Friday they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, houses have been destroyed and all travel has been ceased.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled at how quickly the sons of Adam become weary, and he said with his hands raised: 'O Allah, around us and not on us,' and it dispersed from Al-Madinah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1527)

Indeed, the Ansar have fulfilled what was upon them and what remains is upon you. So, be good to those who are good among them and overlook those who do wrong."

ahmad:12951ʿAbīdah > Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out one morning during a pleasant or cold day, and he saw the emigrants and the ansar digging the trench. He said, "O Allah, the good is the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the ansar and the emigrants." And they responded to him. [Al-Bahr ar-Rajz] We are the ones who pledged allegiance to Muhammad for Jihad, and we will never go back on it.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave from the spoils of Hunayn to Uyaynah, Al-Aqra', and others, so the Ansar said, "Will he give away our spoils, while our swords are still dripping with their blood or their blood is still dripping from our swords?" When the Prophet ﷺ learned of this, he called the Ansar and said, "O people of the Ansar, would you not be pleased if the people took worldly possessions and you took Muhammad to your homes?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if the people were to go down one valley and the Ansar were to go down another, I would go down the valley of the Ansar. The Ansar are my support and my refuge. If it were not for the migration, I would have been from the Ansar."

أحمد:١٢٩٥٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Put your butter in your dish and your dates in your container, for I am fasting." He then stood and prayed in a corner of the house, and we prayed behind him. Afterwards, he prayed for Umm Sulaym and her family. Umm Sulaym said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a request." He asked, "What is it?" She replied, "Anas." He said, "He has never left a day without supplicating for goodness in this world and the hereafter for Umm Sulaym. He would say, 'O Allah, provide him with wealth and children, and bless them for him.'" Anas said, "My daughter told me that he was buried after living for 120 and a half years. I am among the Ansar who have the most wealth."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sought consultation regarding his departure to Badr. Abu Bakr offered his advice and the Prophet ﷺ agreed. Then, Omar offered his advice and the Prophet ﷺ also agreed. Finally, the Prophet ﷺ sought the advice of others. Some of the Ansar said, "Beware! The Prophet of Allah ﷺ wants to consult us." A spokesperson for the Ansar said, "O Prophet of Allah, we do not say to you what the Children of Israel said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are here waiting.' But, by the One who sent you with the truth, even if you were to strike their livers, we would march with you to Barkil Ghimad." Ibn Abi Adi said, "To Barkil Ghimad means, 'We will follow you wherever you lead us.'"

Let them spit if they happen to spit to their left or under their foot.' He gestured as if it were on his garment. Surely, he said something good or did not say anything bad?" The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I arrived at the prayer row and I was astonished or inspired by my breath." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, I saw twelve angels rushing to compete for it. Which one of them would raise it?" [Machine] On the day of Hunayn, the Hawazin tribe came with their children, women, camels, and livestock, and they formed rows, increasing in number against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . When they met, the Muslims turned their backs, as Allah the Almighty had stated. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O servants of Allah, I am the slave of Allah and His Messenger. O people of Ansar, I am the slave of Allah and His Messenger." So Allah defeated the polytheists and they did not strike with a sword or stab with a spear. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on that day, "Whoever kills a disbeliever, his belongings are his reward." Abu Talhah killed twenty men that day and took their belongings. Abu Qatadah said, "O Messenger of Allah, I struck a man with a chainmail armor and was unable to retrieve it. Look for someone who took it." A man stood up and said, "I took it, so give it to me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would never be asked for something and refuse to give it, so he remained silent. 'Umar said, "By Allah, Allah will not grant you and give it to the likes of you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed and said, "Umar is truthful." The mother of Sulaym had a dagger with her, and Abu Talhah asked her, "Why do you have this with you?" She said, "I took it in case any of the disbelievers come close to me, I can stab him in the stomach." Abu Talhah said, "O Messenger of Allah, don't you hear what Umm Sulaym is saying?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, kill those who come after us from the enemies because they were defeated because of you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has sufficed us and blessed us, O Umm Sulaym."
