[Machine] It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, which believers are the best?" He said, "A believer who strives in the cause of Allah with his self and his wealth." They asked, "Then who?" He said, "A believer who isolates himself in a remote part of the mountains or in a valley, sparing people from his evil."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not write anything from me except the Quran. Whoever writes anything from me other than the Quran, let him erase it." He also said, "Narrate from the Children of Israel, and there is no harm in narrating from me, but do not fabricate against me." He added, "Whoever fabricates against me, let him prepare himself a seat in Hellfire."

[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was distributing something, Ibn Dhil Khawaisira At-Tamimi came to him and said, "Be just, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet replied, "Woe to you! Who will be just if I am not just?" Umar ibn Al-Khattab then said, "O Messenger of Allah, may I kill him? Allow me to strike his neck!" The Prophet said, "Leave him, for he has companions who say their prayers along with his prayers and observe fasting along with his fasting, but they will pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its target, and they look about to find the mark of the arrow, yet they find nothing in it. Then they look about to find its feathers, yet they find nothing in them. Then they look about to find its shaft, yet they find nothing in it. Finally, they look about to find its head, but they will not find anything in it. The arrow has moved ahead leaving only filth and blood in its wake. Among them, there is a man who is as black as charcoal, his hands or his chest, as if it were a woman's chest or a piece of wool continuously rotating. They will come out of the religion just as an arrow goes out of its target. Then the statement will apply to them, "Among them are some who insult you (O Muhammad) in the matter of (the distribution of) the Sadaqaat (zakat)" (Quran 9:58). Abu Sa'id said, "I testify that I heard this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I also testify that Ali was with him when he killed him. We brought the man to the description that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has given."

the Messenger of Allah said: “Charity is not permissible for a rich man except in five cases: One who is appointed to collect it, a warrior fighting in the cause of Allah, a rich man who buys it with his own money, a poor man who receives the charity and gives it as a gift to a rich man, and a debtor.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1841)

He then asked, 'Were you not misguided and Allah guided you?' They replied, 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth'. He continued, 'Were you not in poverty and Allah made you rich?' They replied, 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth'. Then he said, 'Will you not answer me? Will you not say that when you were driven away, we took you in, and when you came to us scared, we gave you safety? Are you not pleased that people take away sheep and camels while you take away the Messenger of Allah to your homes?' If people had traveled through a valley or pass while you also traveled through that valley or pass, I would choose your valley or pass. By Allah, if there was no migration, I would have been one from the Ansar. And certainly, you will meet me by the Pond (in Paradise), so be patient until you meet me there.'"

[Machine] We memorized the night of Al-Qadr in a group of Quraysh. So, I went to Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, who was a friend of mine, and I said, "Come out with us to the palm grove." He went out with us wearing a garment he had, and I said, "Have you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioning the night of Al-Qadr?" He replied, "Yes. We performed I'tikaf (seclusion for worship) with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the middle ten days of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the morning of the twentieth (night), and he said, 'I saw the night of Al-Qadr but then I forgot it, or he said, I missed it, so seek it in the last ten nights, in the odd-numbered nights. Indeed, I saw myself prostrating in mud and water. So, whoever performed I'tikaf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ should return.' So, we returned, and we did not see any clouds in the sky. Then a cloud came and it started raining until the roofs of the mosque started dripping. The rainwater was of the color of the germs of the palm tree, and the prayer was established. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating in the water and mud until I saw the signs of mud on his forehead."

I asked Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) about the conversion (of gold and silver for silver and gold). We said: Is it hand to hand exchange? I said: Yes. whereupon he said: There is no harm in it. I informed Abu Sa'id about it, telling him that I had asked Ibn 'Abbas about it and he said: Is it hand to hand exchange? I said: Yes, whereupon he said: There is no harm in it. He (the narrator) said, or he said like it: We will soon write to him, and he will not give you this fatwa (religious verdict). He said: By Allah, someone of the boy-servants of Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought dates, but he refused to accept them (on the plea) that those did not seem to be of the dates of our land. He said: Something had happened to the dates of our land, or our dates. So I got these dates (in exchange by giving) excess (of the dates of our land), whereupon he said: You made an addition for getting the fine dates (in exchange) which tantamounts, to interest; don't do that (in future). Whenever you find some doubt (as regards the deteriorating quality of) your dates, sell them, and then buy the dates that you like. (Using translation from Muslim 1594c)

We made no transgression but Khaybar was conquered. We, the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, fell upon this plant. i e. garlic. because the people were hungry. We ate it to our heart's content and then made our way towards the mosque. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sensed its odour and he said: He who takes anything of this offensive plant must not approach us in the mosque. The people said: Its (use) has been forbidden; its (use) bu been forbidden. This reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: O people, I cannot forbid (the use of a thing) which Allah has made lawful, but (this garlic) is a plant the odour of which is repugnant to me.
