Kabshah, daughter of AbuMaryam, asked Umm Salamah (Allah be pleased with her): What did the Prophet ﷺ prohibit? She replied: He forbade us to boil dates so much so that the kernels are spoiled, and to mix raisins and dried dates.  

أبو داود:٣٧٠٦حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ حَدَّثَتْنِي رَيْطَةُ عَنْ كَبْشَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ قَالَتْ

سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَعْجُمَ النَّوَى طَبْخًا أَوْ نَخْلِطَ الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ

[Machine] I asked Umm Salamah, "Tell me what the Prophet of Allah ﷺ prohibited his family from doing?" She said, "He forbade us from cooking green date clusters, and from mixing raisins with dates."

سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ أَخْبِرِينِي مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَهْلَهُ؟ قَالَتْ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَعْجُمَ النَّوَى طَبْخًا وَأَنْ نَخْلِطَ الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ  

كَبْشَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

[Machine] She (referring to Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad) asked about the drink, so she said, "Shall I inform you of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid his family from doing? He used to forbid us from mixing raisins with dates."

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ الشَّرَابِ فَقَالَتْ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ أَهْلَهُ كَانَ «يَنْهَانَا أَنْ يُخْلَطَ الزَّبِيبُ بِالتَّمْرِ»
