The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Sa'id al-Ru'aini with the same chain as narrated by Yahya (b. Sa'id) and to the same effect.

أبو داود:٣٢٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَىَّ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَحْرٍ مَوْلَى لِبَنِي ضَمْرَةَ وَكَانَ أَيَّمَا رَجُلٍ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الرُّعَيْنِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِ يَحْيَى وَمَعْنَاهُ
