The Prophet ﷺ was given a silk garment as a gift and we started touching it with our hands and admiring it. On that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you wonder at this?" We said, "Yes." He said, "The handkerchiefs of Saʿd bin Muʿadh in Paradise are better than this."

أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَوْبُ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلْنَا نَلْمُسُهُ وَنَتَعَجَّبُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ مَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given a silken garment, and its beauty and delicacy astonished the people. On that, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No doubt, the handkerchiefs of Saʿd bin Muʿadh in Paradise are better than this."

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِثَوْبٍ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ حُسْنِهِ وَلِينِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ هَذَا

Do you admire the softness of this (cloth)? The handkerchiefs of Sa'd b. Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this.

سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حُلَّةُ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَلْمُسُونَهَا وَيَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ لِينِهَا فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ لِينِ هَذِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا وَأَلْيَنُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk garment, so they began touching it and looking at it. He said, "Are you amazed by this? The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this, or smoother than this, or he said from a handkerchief like this."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَمَسُّونَهُ وَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا؟ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ قَالَ مِنْدِيلُ

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk garment, so they started touching it and looking at it. He said, 'Are you amazed at this? The handkerchief of Sa'd or the handkerchief of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise is better than this or softer than this.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَمَسُّونَهُ وَيَنْظُرُونَ فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدٍ أَوْ مِنْدِيلُسَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا

[Machine] He said: I heard Al-Bara' saying, "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk garment, so they were amazed by its beauty and softness. He said, 'Are the robes of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise better or this one?'"

قَالَسَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ حُسْنِهِ وَلِينِهِ فَقَالَ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَفْضَلُ أَوْ أَخْيَرُ مِنْ هَذَا

[Machine] "A silk garment was presented to the Prophet ﷺ, and we would touch it and marvel at it and say, 'We have never seen a better garment than this, so soft.' The Prophet ﷺ then asked, 'Do you like this?' We said, 'Yes.' He replied, 'The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are even better and softer than this.'"

أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَوْبٌ حَرِيرٌ فَجَعَلْنَا نَلْمِسُهُ وَنَعْجَبُ مِنْهُ وَنَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْنَا ثَوْبًا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ وَأَلْيَنَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَيُعْجِبُكُمْ هَذَا؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَلْيَنُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came wearing a silk garment, and his companions were amazed by its softness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "The handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in paradise are even softer than this."

أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ لِينِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا

Do you admire the softness of this (cloth)? The handkerchiefs of Sa'd b. Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this. (Using translation from Muslim 2468a)

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore a silk robe, so people began to touch and admire it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'You admire this, but the handkerchiefs of Sad ibn Muadh in Paradise are better than it.'"

لَبِسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثَوْبًا مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَلْمَسُونَهُ وَيَعْجَبُونَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْهُ مَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ»

"عَنْ البَرَاء قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَوْبٌ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ لِينِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لَمَنَاديلُ سَعْدٍ فِي الجَنَّة أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا".
