"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was finished at Badr, it was said to him: 'You have to get the caravan, you can not settle for less than that.' Al-'Abbas called out while he was bound up: 'There is no use.' He said: 'For Allah, Most High, has promised you one of the two parties, and He gave you what He promised you.' He said: 'He has said the truth.'"  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٣٠٨٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ بَدْرٍ قِيلَ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ الْعِيرَ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا شَيْءٌ قَالَ فَنَادَاهُ الْعَبَّاسُ وَهُوَ فِي وَثَاقِهِ لاَ يَصْلُحُ وَقَالَ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَكَ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَعْطَاكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ قَالَ صَدَقْتَ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

الحاكم:٣٢٦١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْقَتْلَى قِيلَ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ الْعِيرُ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا شَيْءٌ فَنَادَاهُ الْعَبَّاسُ وَهُوَ فِي وَثَاقِهِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَصْلُحُ لَكَ قَالَ «لِمَ؟» قَالَ «لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَكَ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَنْجَزَ لَكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح

[Machine] It was said to the Prophet ﷺ , after he had finished the Battle of Badr: "Do you not have anything other than the captives?" Al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a captive at that time, said: "It is not suitable." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Why?" He replied, "Because Allah has promised you one of the two parties, and He has given you what He promised you."  

الطبراني:١١٧٣٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ ثنا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
