The best are those who continuing to do good deeds even if they live a long life

tirmidhi:2329Abū Kurayb > Zayd b. Ḥubāb > Muʿāwiyah b. Ṣāliḥ > ʿAmr b. Qays > ʿAbdullāh b. Busr

A Bedouin said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are the best of people?” He said, “Those whose lives are long and whose deeds are good.”

And on this topic there are also narrations from Abu Hurayrah and Jabir. Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Gharīb in this particular context.
