tabarani:8869 – Abū Khalīfah > Abū al-Walīd al-Ṭayālisī And Muḥammad b. Kathīr > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yazīd > ʿAbdullāh

that he was almost unable to fast and said: When I have fasted, I become weak in Ṣalāh, and Ṣalāh is more beloved to me than fasting. So when he fasted he fasted three ˹days˺ of the month.  

الطبراني:٨٨٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَكَادُ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَقَالَ «§إِنِّي إِذَا صُمْتُ ضَعُفْتُ

عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّلَاةُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الصِّيَامِ» فَإِنْ صَامَ صَامَ ثَلَاثًا مِنَ الشَّهْرِ
