[Machine] When Ali arrived in Basra, he came to our house and asked, "Is Abu Muslim here?" We replied, "Yes," and he went out to him. Ali said, "Won't you help us with this matter?" Abu Muslim replied, "Yes, my neighbor, bring me that sword." So she brought him his sword, and when he inspected it, he found that it was made of wood. Abu Muslim said to him, "Indeed, your cousin, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, entrusted me that when there is a conflict among the Muslims, I should take a wooden sword. So, he turned away from me in anger and said, "We have no need for you or your sword." Yazid ibn Zurai narrated this story to me, and he had heard it from Yunus ibn Ubaid, who had heard it from this Sheikh before I met him.
