[Machine] He heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Whoever grows gray hair in the way of Allah will have light on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever shoots an arrow in the way of Allah, whether it be successful or not, will have a reward like the neck of a slave from the descendants of Isma'il."  

الطبراني:٧٥٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبَانَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ أَصَابَ كَانَ لَهُ بِمِثْلِ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ»

He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, and it reaches the enemy, whether it misses or hits, it will be as if he freed slave. Whoever frees a believing slave, that will be a ransom for him, limb by limb, from the Fire of Hell. Whoever develops a gray hair in the cause of Allah, it will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The position of a man in a row in the way of Allah is better than the world and what is in it. And whoever throws an arrow in the way of Allah, and it reaches (the target) whether he made a mistake or achieved success, then he will be rewarded by setting a slave free. And whoever grows white hair in the way of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."
