tabarani:6281 – Abū Muslim > Abū ʿĀṣim > Yazīd > Salamah

[Machine] I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , on the day of Hudaybiyah, then I stepped aside. He said, "O Salamah, don't you pledge allegiance?" I said, "I have already pledged allegiance." He said, "Come forward and pledge allegiance." So I approached and pledged allegiance to him. I said, "For what reason did you pledge allegiance, O Abu Muslim?" He said, "For death."  

الطبراني:٦٢٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ

بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ثُمَّ تَنَحَّيْتُ فَقَالَ «يَا سَلَمَةُ أَلَا تُبَايِعُ؟» قُلْتُ قَدْ بَايَعْتُ قَالَ «أَقْبِلْ فَبَايِعْ» فَدَنَوْتُ فَبَايَعْتُهُ قُلْتُ عَلَامَ بَايَعْتَ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ؟ قَالَ «عَلَى الْمَوْتِ»

[Machine] I pledged to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with the people in Hudaybiyah, then I sat aside. When the people dispersed from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "O son of Al-Akwa, don't you give the pledge?" I replied, "I have already given the pledge, O Messenger of Allah." He also asked, "Why did you give the pledge?" I answered, "For loyalty and obedience until death."  

أحمد:١٦٥٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ
