[Machine] "On the authority of 'Asim al-Ahwal, Hafsah bint Sirin narrated from Rabab, who narrated from Salman bin 'Amir ad-Dabbi, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you breaks their fast, let them break it with dates if available, and if not, then with water, for verily water is purifying.'"  

الطبراني:٦١٩٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ

عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ إِنْ وَجَدَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَعَلَى الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ»

"When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for it is a means of purification." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1699)  

الطبراني:٦١٩٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنِ الرَّبَابِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ
