[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a house, so I stood in front of the door. I sought permission to enter, and he signaled to me to wait and maintain distance. Then I came again and sought permission, and he said, "Is seeking permission necessary for looking?"  

الطبراني:٥٣٨٦حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الْيَامِيِّ عَنْ هُذَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ

جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتٍ فَقُمْتُ مُقَابِلَ الْبَابِ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَبَاعَدْ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ فَقَالَ «وَهَلِ الِاسْتِئْذَانُ إِلَّا مِنِ النَّظَرِ»
