أَبُو عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ
[Machine] We were in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , when we were in prayer, if one of us wanted something, he would speak to him and continue walking until this verse was revealed, "And stand before Allah, devoutly obedient" (Quran 2:238), so we were commanded to remain silent.
كُنَّا فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنَّا فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَأَرَادَ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا حَاجَةً كَلَّمَهُ وَسَارَهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ} فَأُمِرْنَا بِالسُّكُوتِ
