[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he saw the crescent moon, "The crescent of goodness and guidance." Then he said, "O Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this month, the goodness of destiny, and I seek refuge in You from its evil." Three times.  

الطبراني:٤٤٠٩حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّازُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْحَرَشِيُّ ثنا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَى الْهِلَالَ قَالَ «هِلَالُ خَيْرٍ وَرُشْدٍ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ هَذَا ثَلَاثًا اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ وَخَيْرِ الْقَدَرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ» ثَلَاثَةَ مَرَّاتٍ
