So he called for a handful of water, washed his hands three times, rinsed his mouth and nose three times, washed his face three times, his arms, wiped his head, ears, and feet, and prayed the Duhr prayer in which he recited the opening chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha) and made twenty-two Takbirs."
«هَلْ أُصَلِّي بِكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟» وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ «فَدَعَا بِجَفْنَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ قَدَمَيْهِ وَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ فَصَلَّى فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَكَبَّرَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً»
