[Machine] When Umar was injured, he began advising the people of Shura, saying, "If Saad is able, then let him be chosen. If not, then seek help from the one whom I have appointed as my successor, for I did not remove him due to incapacity or betrayal."  

الطبراني:٣٢٠حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا أُصِيبَ عُمَرُ ؓ أَخَذَ يُوصِي لِأَهْلِ الشُّورَى «إِنْ أَصَابَ سَعْدًا فَذَلِكَ وَإِلَّا فَلْيَسْتَعِنْ بِهِ الَّذِي اسْتَخْلَفَ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَنْزِعْهُ مِنْ عَجْزٍ وَلَا خِيَانٍة»
