[Machine] I heard a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, his name is Maymun bin Sunbad, he said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The strength of my nation lies in its worst members."
سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَيْمُونُ بْنُ سُنْبَادٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قِوَامُ أُمَّتِي بِشِرَارِهَا»
AbuMijlaz said: Mu'awiyah went out to Ibn az-Zubayr and Ibn Amir. Ibn Amir got up and Ibn az-Zubayr remained sitting. Mu'awiyah said to Ibn Amir: Sit down, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Let him who likes people to stand up before him prepare his place in Hell. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5229)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَمْثُلَ لَهُ الرِّجَالُ قِيَامًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ
[Machine] I heard a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ named Maymun bin Sunbadh saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of my ummah (nation) are those who are its worst." He repeated this three times.
