[Machine] So when Abu Bakr left and the people had completed their Hajj, Urwah ibn Mas'ud al-Thaqafi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and embraced Islam. Then he sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to return to his people, and he said, "I fear that they may kill you." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If they find me sleeping, they will not wake me up." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him permission, and he returned to Ta'if. He presented them with a meal and the people of Thaqif came to greet him. He invited them to Islam and advised them, but they rejected him, disobeyed him, and treated him with harm that they had never feared from him. So they left him until they had their pre-dawn meal and the morning came. He stood on a platform in his house and called the Adhan, and when he finished the witness for the prayer, a man from Quraysh threw an arrow at him, and he killed him.
