[Machine] Al-Hajjaj said to him, "What prevented you from killing him?" Salim replied, "My father informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, 'Whoever prays the Fajr prayer is in the protection of Allah throughout his day.' So I disliked killing a man whom Allah has protected." Al-Hajjaj then asked Ibn 'Umar, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ?" Ibn 'Umar replied, "Yes."  

الطبراني:١٣٢١١ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبِي أَنَّ الْحَجَّاجَ أَمَرَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بِقَتْلِ رَجُلٍ فَقَالُ لَهُ سَالِمٌ أَصَلَّيْتَ الصُّبْحَ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ انْطَلِقْ فَقَالَ

لَهُ الْحَجَّاجُ مَا مَنَعَكَ مِنْ قَتْلِهِ؟ فَقَالَ سَالِمٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ كَانَ فِي جِوَارِ اللهِ يَوْمَهُ» فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَقْتُلَ رَجُلًا قَدْ أَجَارَهُ اللهُ فَقَالَ الْحَجَّاجُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ نَعَمْ
