[Machine] "He used to pray at night, then he would say, 'O Nafi', did we stay awake?' He would reply, 'No,' so he would resume his prayer. Then he would say, 'O Nafi', did we stay awake?' I would say, 'Yes.' So he would sit and seek forgiveness and supplicate until dawn."  

الطبراني:١٣٠٤٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

«أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحْيِي اللَّيْلَ صَلَاةً» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «يَا نَافِعُ أَسْحَرْنَا؟» فَيَقُولُ لَا «فَيُعَاوِدُ الصَّلَاةَ» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «يَا نَافِعُ أَسْحَرْنَا؟» فَأَقُولُ نَعَمْ «فَيَقْعُدُ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُ وَيَدْعُو حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»
