الشَّعْبِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed one of his slaves from the Banu Bayadah tribe to collect his charity and gave him his due even though it was prohibited to do so.  

الطبراني:١٢٥٨٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ ثنا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الشَّعِيرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا رَبَاحُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَجَمَهُ مَوْلًى لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ وَأَعْطَاهُ أَجْرَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ إِيَّاهُ»

Once the Prophet ﷺ got his blood out (medically) and paid that person who had done it. If it had been illegal, the Prophet ﷺ would not have paid him.  

البخاري:٢١٠٣حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

احْتَجَمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَعْطَى الَّذِي حَجَمَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ  

ahmad:2904Ḥajjāj > Sharīk > Jābir > ʿĀmir > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ had cupping done three times, between the shoulder blades and on the back, and he paid the cupper his fee. Even if it had been prohibited, he would not have withheld it from him.  

أحمد:٢٩٠٤حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ احْتَجَمَ ثَلاثًا فِي الْأَخْدَعَيْنِ وَبَيْنَ الْكَتِفَيْنِ وَأَعْطَى الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ إِيَّاهُ  

ahmad:3457ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal > al-Shaʿbī > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ hired a worker from the Bani Bayadah tribe, and the Prophet ﷺ paid him his wage. Even if it had been forbidden, the Prophet ﷺ would have still given it to him. It is also mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ instructed his companions to ease the tax burden on him.  

أحمد:٣٤٥٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

حَجَمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَبْدٌ لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ وَأَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَجْرَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ قَالَ وَأَمَرَ مَوَالِيَهُ أَنْ يُخَفِّفُوا عَنْهُبَعْضَ خَرَاجِهِ  

ahmad:3284Khālid > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ frowned and gave him his reward, even though what he gave him was forbidden.
