[Machine] "The elders hear from their youth." It was said to Ibn Abbas, "And why is that?" He said, "Because the youth hear, while the elders do not hear."

الطبراني:١١٦٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ «فِي §أَوَّلِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ يَسْمَعُ صِغَارُهُمْ مِنْ كِبَارِهِمْ وَفِي آخِرِهَا

يَسْمَعُ كِبَارُهُمْ مِنْ صِغَارِهِمْ» قِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَلَمَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «لِأَنَّ الصِّغَارُ سَمِعُوا وَلَمْ يَسْمَعِ الْكِبَارُ»
