[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If I live, I will fast the ninth day of Muharram, out of fear of missing the day of Ashura."  

الطبراني:١٠٨١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قَالَا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ عِشْتُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ إِلَى قَابِلٍ صُمْتُ التَّاسِعَ؛ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَفُوتَنِي يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ»
