44. Chapter of Shīn (Female)

٤٤۔ بَابُ الشِّينِ

44.3 [Machine] Sharafu bintu Khalifata bin Farwata al-Kalbiyyah "O sister of Dihya bin Khalifa, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her, but did not consummate the marriage.

٤٤۔٣ شَرَافُ بِنْتُ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ الْكَلْبِيَّةُ «أُخْتُ دِحْيَةَ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ، تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَا»

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ married a woman from the tribe of Kalb, and sent Aisha to look at her. This is Shaima, the daughter of Al-Harith bin Abdul-Aziz bin Rifa'ah, the foster sister of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."  

الطبراني:٢١٢٦٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُوَفَّقٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ

«خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ امْرَأَةً مِنْ كَلْبٍ فَبَعَثَ عَائِشَةَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا» شَيْماءُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ أُخْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ entered the women on the day of the Battle of the Trench covered in dust from the outskirts of Madinah. Hassan bin Thabit was a generous man, so he was allowed to enter with the women and close the door. Then a Jew came and sat at the door of the room. Safiyyah bint Abdul-Muttalib said, 'Hassan, go down and kill this Jew.' He replied, 'I would not endanger myself because of this Jew.' So I put on a garment and took a sword, and I went down to him and cut off his head."  

الطبراني:٢١٢٧٠حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَدْخَلَ النِّسَاءَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ أُطَمًا مِنْ آطَامِ الْمَدِينَةِ» وَكَانَ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ رَجُلًا جَوَادًا فَأَدْخَلَهُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ وَأَغْلَقَ الْبَابَ فَجَاءَ يَهُودِيٌّ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى بَابِ الْأُطُمِ فَقَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ انْزِلْ حَسَّانُ إِلَى هَذَا الْعِلْجِ فَاقْتُلْهُ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَجْعَلَ نَفْسِي خَطَرًا لِهَذَا الْعِلْجِ فَائْتَزَرْتُ بِكِسَاءٍ وَأَخَذْتُ فِهْرًا فَنَزَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَطَعْتُ رَأْسَهُ

[Machine] Safiyyah bint Abi Muttalib did not cover her head in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or the ten first immigrants, including her brother Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, Ja'far, Ali ibn Abi Talib - the sons of her paternal uncle - and Zubayr ibn al-Awwam - her son. Also, Uthman ibn Affan, the son of her paternal aunt, her mother Arwa bint Kariz, her maternal grandmother, and Umm Hakim bint Abd al-Muttalib, and Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Asad, and Abu Sabrah ibn Abi Ruham, the sons of her maternal aunt Barrah bint Abd al-Muttalib, and Umm Talib ibn Numayr ibn Wahb ibn Abd Qusay, Arwa bint Abd al-Muttalib, Umm Abdullah and Abu Ahmad al-A'amma the poet, whose name is Abd ibn Jahsh ibn Riaab ibn Yamaar ibn Hubayrah ibn Murrah ibn Ghanim ibn Dudan ibn Asad ibn Khuzaymah, Ummayyah bint Abd al-Muttalib. Safiyyah passed away during the Caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab.

كَانَتْ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ لَا تُغَطِّي رَأْسَهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا مِنْ عَشَرَةً مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَخُوهَا وَجَعْفَرٌ وَعَلِيٌّ ابْنَا أَبِي طَالِبٍ ابْنَا أَخِيهَا وَالزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ابْنُهَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ابْنُ ابْنَةِ أُخْتِهَا أُمُّهُ أَرْوَى بِنْتُ كَرِيزٍ وَأُمُّهَا الْبَيْضَاءُ أُمُّ حَكِيمٍ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ وَأَبُو سَبْرَةَ بْنُ أَبَى رُهْمٍ ابْنَا أُخْتِهَا بَرَّةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأُمُّ طليبِ بْنِ نُمَيْرِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ قُصَيٍّ أَرْوَى بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأُمُّ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبِي أَحْمَدَ الْأَعْمَى الشَّاعِرِ وَاسْمُهُ عَبْدُ بْنُ جَحْشِ بْنِ رِئَابِ بْنِ يَعْمُرَ بْنِ حُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ دُودانَ بْنِ أَسَدِ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ أُمَيْمَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَتُوُفِّيَتْ صَفِيَّةُ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ

[Machine] Safiyyah bint Abdul-Muttalib mourns the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ تَرْثِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
