"إِنْ عَطِبَ مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ لخَشيتَ علَيْه مَوْتًا فَاذبَحْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِى دَمهَا، ثم اضْربْ بِهَا صَفْحَتَهَا، وَلا تَطْعَمْ منْهَا أنْتَ وَلا أحَدٌ منْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتك وَاقْسمهَا" .
If any of these is completely exhausted and you apprehend its death, then slaughter it, then dip its hoofs in its blood and imprint it on its hump; but neither you nor any one of your comrades should eat it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ مَعَهُ بِالْبُدْنِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ إِنْ عَطِبَ مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ فَخَشِيتَ عَلَيْهِ مَوْتًا فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ اضْرِبْ بِهِ صَفْحَتَهَا وَلاَ تَطْعَمْهَا أَنْتَ وَلاَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ
“If any of them becomes unfit and you are afraid that it will die, then slaughter it, dip the sandal (tied around its neck) in its blood and place it on its side, but neither you nor any of your companions should eat anything from it.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ مَعَهُ بِبَدَنَةٍ فَقَالَ «إِنْ عَطِبَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَخَشِتَ مَوْتَهَا فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ اضْرِبْ بِهَا صَفْحَتَهَا وَلَا تَطْعَمْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ وَاقْسِمْهَا»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send with him (someone) with the sacrificial animals, then he would say: 'If something is wrong with it, and you fear death, then slaughter it. Then dip its hoof in its blood, then strike its forehead with it. And do not eat from it, neither you nor any of your companions, and distribute it (among the poor).' And the wording is from the Hadith of Yazid bin Zurai' and Khalid bin Al-Harith, Dhuayb bin Qabisa said."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to send with him the sacrifice and then he would say: "If something is wrong with her (the sacrifice), then I fear her death, so slaughter her, then dip her sandals in her blood, then hit her with it (the sandals), and do not feed her, neither you nor anyone from your companions."
