When any one of you omits the prayer due to sleep or he forgets it, he should observe it when he remembers it, for Allah has said:" Observe prayer for remembrance of Me."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَقَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ أَوْ غَفَلَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِذِكْرِي

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone oversleeps and misses the witr, or forgets it, he should pray when he remembers.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَامَ عَنْ وِتْرِهِ أَوْ نَسِيَهُ فَلْيُصَلِّهِ إِذَا ذَكَرَهُ

"They asked the Prophet about when they sIept past the Salat. He said: 'There is no negligence in sleep, negligence is only while one is awake. So when one of you forgets a Salat, or sleeps through it, then let him pray it when he remembers it.'"

ذَكَرُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَوْمَهُمْ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي النَّوْمِ تَفْرِيطٌ إِنَّمَا التَّفْرِيطُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ فَإِذَا نَسِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَلاَةً أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ وَأَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ وَذِي مِخْبَرٍ وَيُقَالُ ذِي مِخْمَرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَخِي النَّجَاشِيِّ

"They told the Prophet ﷺ that they had slept and missed the prayer. He said: 'There is no negligence when one sleeps, rather negligence is when one is awake. If any one of you forgets a prayer or sleeps and misses it, let him pray it when he remembers it.'"

ذَكَرُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَوْمَهُمْ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي النَّوْمِ تَفْرِيطٌ إِنَّمَا التَّفْرِيطُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ فَإِذَا نَسِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَلاَةً أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone oversleeps and misses the witr, or forgets it, he should pray when he remembers. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1431)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَسِيَ الْوَتْرَ أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا أَوْ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Whoever forgets a prayer or oversleeps it should perform it as soon as they remember."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا»

إِنَّهُ «لَيْسَ فِي النَّوْمِ تَفْرِيطٌ إِنَّمَا التَّفْرِيطُ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ فَإِذَا نَسِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ صَلَاةً أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا»

"إِذَا نَسِيَ أحدُكُمْ صلاةً أو نامَ عَنْها فَليُصَلِّهَا إذا ذكَرها".

"إِنَّهَ لَا تَفْرِيط فِى النَّوم: إِنَّمَا التفريطُ في اليَقَظَة، فإِذَا سَهَا أحدُكُم عنْ صَلَاة فَليُصَلِّهَا حينَ يَذكُرُها ومِنَ الْغَدِ للوقت ".

"مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلاةً أوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا، فَكَفَّارَتُهَا أنْ يُصَلِّيَهَا إذَا ذَكرَهَا".
