The Prophet ﷺ had forbidden the sale of dates till they were good (ripe), and when it was asked what it meant, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Till there is no danger of blight."

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنْ صَلاَحِهَا قَالَ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ عَاهَتُهُ

The Prophet ﷺ had forbidden the sale of fruits till they were ripe (free from blight).

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident. He forbade both the seller and the buyer (such sale).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits until they were clearly in good condition, he forbade it both to the seller and to the buyer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ

Do not buy fruit until its good condition becomes clear, and (the danger) of blight is no more. He said: Its good condition becoming clear implies that it becomes red or yellow.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَبْتَاعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ وَتَذْهَبَ عَنْهُ الآفَةُ قَالَ يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ حُمْرَتُهُ وَصُفْرَتُهُ

Do not buy fruits (on the trees) until their good condition becomes clear.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle ﷺ forbidding the sale of fruits until their good condition becomes evident and the purchase of dates for dates.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

"Do not sell fruits until their condition is known. And he forbade (both) the seller and the purchaser (to engage in such a transaction).

"Do not sell fruits until they have ripened." And he forbade (both) the seller and the purchaser (to engage in such a transaction).

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الثَّمَرِ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling fruit until its goodness becomes apparent. They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is its goodness?" He replied, "When its blemishes are gone and its pure and pleasant qualities are evident."

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا صَلَاحُهَا؟ قَالَ إِذَا ذَهَبَتْ عَاهَتُهَا وَخَلَصَ طَيِّبُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruits or palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ أَوِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not sell fruits of dates until they become free from all the dangers of being spoilt or blighted; and do not sell fresh dates for dry dates." Narrated Salim and ʿAbdullah from Zaid bin Habit' "Later on Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted the selling of ripe fruits on trees for fresh dates or dried dates in Bai'-al-'Araya, and did not allow it for any other kind of sale." قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the sale of fruits or palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent. It was asked to Ibn Umar, what is meant by their goodness? He said, their defects are removed.

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ أَوِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ فَقِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ مَا صَلَاحُهُ؟ قَالَ تَذْهَبُ عَاهَتُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not trade the fruits until their goodness becomes apparent." Someone asked, "What is the goodness of the fruits?" He replied, "Its defects are removed, and its goodness is purified."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَتَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا قَالَ وَمَا بُدُوُّ صَلَاحِهَا؟ قَالَ تَذْهَبُ عَاهَتُهَا وَيَخْلُصُ طَيِّبُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits by dates and the selling of fruits until their ripeness is apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] "Do not sell a fruit until its goodness appears."

وَلَا تُبَاعُ ثَمَرَةٌ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruit until it had started to ripen. He forbade the transaction to both buyer and seller.

"لا تُبَاعُ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاحُهَا".

"لَا تَبْتَاعوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاحُهَا، وَيَذْهَبَ عَنْهَا الآفَةُ".

"لا تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ".

" نَهَى النَّبِىُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْع الثمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا ".

"نَهَى النَّبِىُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ".

"نَهَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ عَنْ بَيعْ الثَّمَرَةِ بِالثَّمَرَةِ، وَعَنْ بَيعْ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا".

"نَهَى النَبِىُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيعْ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا".

"نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُو صَلَاحُهَا".
