[Machine] I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the sale of fruits or palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent. It was asked to Ibn Umar, what is meant by their goodness? He said, their defects are removed.  

أحمد:٥٤٩٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ أَوِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ فَقِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ مَا صَلَاحُهُ؟ قَالَ تَذْهَبُ عَاهَتُهُ

The Prophet ﷺ had forbidden the sale of dates till they were good (ripe), and when it was asked what it meant, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Till there is no danger of blight."
