"عَنْ أَبِى ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَىُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: أَنْ يُجَاهِدَ الرَّجُلُ نَفْسَه وَهَوَاهُ".

قال المناوى: أخرجه الحافظ أبو نعيم، والديلمى مِن حديث أبي ذرٍ بلفظ. "أفضل الجهادِ أن تُجَاهدَ نفسَك وهواك في ذاتِ الله"
