"عَنْ أَبِى الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ فَنَالَ رَجُلٌ مَنْ رَجُلٍ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ مَنْ رَدَّ عَنْ عِرْضِ أَخِيهِ رُفِعَ بِها دَرَجَةً".

[Machine] A man insulted another man in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the man retaliated. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever defends the honor of his brother, a barrier will be created between him and the Fire." This hadith was also narrated by Marzuq from Umm Ad-Darda from Abu Ad-Darda.
