"إِنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ يُشَدُّ عَلَيهِمْ، وَإِنَّهُ لا يُصِيبُ مُؤمِنًا نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَما فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ، وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بِها دَرَجَةٌ".
A believer does not receive (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that but Allah elevates him in rank or effaces his sins because of that.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was afflicted with an ailment, so he started to complain and toss on his bed. Aisha asked him, "If one of us were to do this, would you find fault with them?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, the righteous are tested greatly, and a believer does not suffer any calamity greater than a thorn except that his sins are expiated by it and he is elevated by degrees."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَرَقَهُ وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتَكِي وَيَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لَوْ صَنَعَ هَذَا بَعْضُنَا لَوَجِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ يُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَايُصِيبُ مُؤْمِنًا نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا حُطَّتْ بِهِ عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ بِهَا دَرَجَةً
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ قَدْ تُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمِ الْبَلَايَا لَمْ يُفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ بِغَيرِهِمْ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ fell ill and he began to complain and toss on his bed. Aisha said to him, "If one of us did this, you would have found fault with him." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, righteous people are tested, and a believer is not afflicted with a calamity greater than a thorn, except that it will be a means of removing his sins and raising his rank."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ طَرَقَهُ وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتَكِي وَيَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ لَوْ صَنَعَ هَذَا بَعْضُنَا لَوَجِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ قَدْ يُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَا يُصِيبُ مُؤْمِنًا نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ»

"إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنين يُشدَّدُ عَلَيْهم، لأَنَّهُ لاَ تُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا وَلَا وَجَعٌ إِلَّا رَفَعَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً، وحَطَّ عَنْهُ خَطِيئة ".
