"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What should be done with the afflicted among the Hadi?' He said: 'Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then leave them so that the people can eat them.'"

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ صَاحِبِ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ قَالَ انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهَا فَيَأْكُلُوهَا وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ ذُؤَيْبٍ أَبِي قَبِيصَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with those sacrificial animals that become unfit?’ He said: ‘Slaughter them, dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side, and leave them for the people to eat.’”

عَمْرٌو فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ قَالَ انْحَرْهُ وَاغْمِسْ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ ثُمَّ اضْرِبْ صَفْحَتَهُ وَخَلِّ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهُ

[AI] From Najiyah al-Aslami, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "What should I do with the defective parts of the sacrificial animal?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every part that is defective should be slaughtered, then throw its sandals in its blood, and then distribute it between the people so that they may eat it."

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ صَاحِبِ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا»

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with those sacrificial animals that become unfit?’ He said: ‘Slaughter them, dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side, and leave them for the people to eat.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3106)

وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ انْحَرْهُ وَاغْمِسْ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ وَاضْرِبْ صَفْحَتَهُ وَخَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهُ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What should be done with the afflicted among the Hadi?' He said: 'Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then leave them so that the people can eat them.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 910)

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ أَوِ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ عَنْهَا وَعَنِ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the man who was in charge of the sacrificial animal of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Messenger of Allah, what should I do with a sacrificial animal that gets injured?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Slaughter any sacrificial animal that is injured. Then throw the garlands in its blood, and then give the people a free hand in eating it.

أَنَّ صَاحِبَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْهَدْىِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلُّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ مِنَ الْهَدْىِ فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ قِلاَدَتَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَأْكُلُونَهَا

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What should be done with the afflicted among the Hadi?' He said: 'Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then leave them so that the people can eat them.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 910)

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ «انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهَا فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا»

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with the meat of a sick animal?" He said, "Slaughter it, then dip its sandals in its blood, and then separate between the people and the meat so that they eat it."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ «انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهَا يَأْكُلُونَهَا»

[AI] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with the defective gift?" So he ordered him to slaughter it and to discard its shoes in its blood, and to separate it between him and the people so that they may eat it.

قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَنْحَرَهَا فَيَطْرَحَ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا وَيُخَلِّيَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَأْكُلُوهَا

" قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ الله كَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطَبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ: انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِس نَعْلَهَا في دَمِهَا، ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْن النَّاسِ وَبَينَهَا فَيَأكُلُوهَا".
