"عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ بَعَثَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَاعِيًا فَمَرَ بِالْعَبَّاسِ فَأَغْلَظَ لَهُ، فَشَكَاهُ عُمَرُ إِلَى النَّبِىِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ يَا عُمَرُ! إِنَّ عَمَّ الرَّجُلِ صنو أَبِيهِ، وإِنَّا قَدْ تَعَجَّلْنَا مِنَ الْعَبَّاسِ صَدَقَتَهُ بِعَامَيْنِ".
