"أَمَا يَسْتطيع أحدُكُمْ أن يقرأ ألفَ آيةٍ في كل يومٍ؟ قالوا: وَمَن يستطيع ذلك؟ قال: أما يستطيع أحدكم أن يقرأ أَلهاكم التكاثر؟ ".  

[ك] الحاكم في المستدرك [هب] البيهقى في شعب الإيمان عن ابن عمر

الحاكم:٢٠٨١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَلَانِسِيُّ بِمِصْرَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ؟» قَالُوا وَمَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «أَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ» «رُوَاةُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ وَعُقْبَةُ هَذَا غَيْرُ مَشْهُورٍ»
