Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Extinguish the lamps when you go to bed; close your doors; tie the mouths of your water skins, and cover the food and drinks." I think he added, ". . . even with a stick you place across the container." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5624)
"أطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابيِحَ إِذَا رَقَدْتُمْ، وأغْلقُوا الأبوابَ، وأوْكُوا الأَسْقية، وخَمِّروُا الطَّعامَ والشَّرابَ ولَوْ بِعُودٍ تَعْرِضُه عليه".
Allah s Apostle said, "When you intend going to bed at night, put out the lights, close the doors, tie the mouths of the water skins, and cover your food and drinks." Hamrnam said, "I think he (the other narrator) added, 'even with piece of wood across the utensil.'
رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابِيحَ بِاللَّيْلِ إِذَا رَقَدْتُمْ وَغَلِّقُوا الأَبْوَابَ وَأَوْكُوا الأَسْقِيَةَ وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ وَلَوْ بِعُودٍ يَعْرُضُهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابِيحَ إِذَا رَقَدْتُمْ وَغَلِّقُوا الأَبْوَابَ وَأَوْكُوا الأَسْقِيَةَ وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ وَلَوْ بِعُودٍ تَعْرُضُهُ عَلَيْهِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Close the doors at night, extinguish the lamps, cover the vessels, and cover the food and drinks, even if you leave them with a stick.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَغْلِقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَطْفِئُوا السُّرُجَ وَأَوْكُوا الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ وَلَوْأَنْ تَعْرُضُوا عَلَيْهِ بِعُودٍ
