“We observed I’tikaf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the middle ten days of Ramadan. He said: ‘I have been shown Lailatul-Qadr, then I was caused to forget it, so seek it in the last ten night, on the odd-numbered nights.’”

اعْتَكَفْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْعَشْرَ الأَوْسَطَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَأُنْسِيتُهَا فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ فِي الْوَتْرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr) and then I forgot it. And I saw myself prostrating in muddy water. Then we were rained upon on the night of the twenty-third (of Ramadan) and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us. Then he left and there was a trace of water and mud on his forehead and nose."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا وَأُرَانِي صَبِيحَتَهَا أَسْجُدُ فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ فَمُطِرْنَا لَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَانْصَرَفَ وَإِنَّ أَثَرَ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ وَأَنْفِهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was shown the Night of Qadr, but then I forgot it. And indeed, I saw myself prostrating in water and mud." Then I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating in water and mud on the morning of the twenty-third (night).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَأُنْسِيتُهَا وَإِنِّي أُرَانِي أَسْجُدُ فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ» فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ صَبِيحَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

"إِنِّى أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا فالتَمِسُوها فِى الْعَشْر الأَوَاخِرِ في الوَتْرِ. وإِنِّى رأَيْتُ أَنِّى أَسْجُدُ فِى مَاءِ وطِينٍ مِنْ صَبِيحَتِهَا" .
