" عن أبى وائلٍ قال: رأيتُ عثمانَ يتوضأُ فخلَّلَ لحيتَهُ ثلاثًا، وقالَ: رأيتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ فَعَلَهُ ".

ذِكْرُ الِاسْتِحْبَابِ لِلْمُتَوَضِّئِ تَخْلِيلُ لِحْيَتِهِ فِي وُضُوئِهِ

[Machine] I saw Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, perform ablution, then he trimmed his beard three times and said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."  

ابن حبّان:١٠٨١ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَضَّأَ فَخَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَعَلَهُ»
